TAS first launched as a Japanese sneaker brand in 2001, and quickly came to be seen as pioneers at the cutting edge of the Japanese sneaker market. Spring 2016 sees TAS return to the shelves. With a brand policy of being “always forward thinking and positive” TAS once again sets foot on the ground to spread the word in sneaker fashion. The brand name itself comes directly from this positive attitude, with TAS an abbreviation of the Japanese ‘tasu’, meaning ‘+’ (plus) or ‘to add’. Positive thought, positive action. Against the bedrock of this affirmative attitude is a simplicity of design that yields the strength to stand alone, unswayed by the ebb and flow of trends.
